Las Vegas, NV- On Friday, disgraced real estate investor, Steve Wynn, confirmed to members of the press that he has been quietly soliciting donations on behalf of President Trump in an effort to begin construction of The Donald John Trump National Library.
“It is true, we have been reaching out to some folks regarding a Trump Library. We’ve already raised a lot of money,” the hotel magnate confirmed from the steps of the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. “We’ve been vetting a number of locations over the last year or so, and we’ve narrowed the field down to two possible locations; either The Old Post Office in Washington DC, or Trump Tower in New York.”
When pressed by reporters whether or not it was appropriate for a standing President in the midst of a reelection campaign to be conducting such an operation, Wynn proclaimed, “Of course it’s appropriate. President Trump, like every other democratically elected President, is entitled to the erection of Library in his name. We’ve made it a priority to get this thing done before Obama’s library is completed, which gives us about a year to modify the space. It should be noted, that President Obama began plans for his Library while he was still in office, back in 2015. If his actions were appropriate then, I don’t see how this could be viewed any differently.”
Sources within The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) have confirmed the existence of applications submitted by the Trump Organization for a number of copyrights, including; “Trump Books”, “Donald John Trump Books”, and “President of The United States of America Books”, as well as an application to obtain a copyright waiver for use of the “Official Seal of The President of the United States of America.”
A spokesperson for the Trump Organization has confirmed copyright applications were filed on the President’s behalf on January 20, 2017, the same day the President was sworn into office, and filed for reelection. “The President did file a number of copyright requests in regards to his National Library, which includes a number of variations of his name combined with the word “Books.”
Donald Trump Jr., the President’s oldest son also confirmed the planned library on Shitter, while at the same time fueling speculation that the library may actually be a book store:

It should be noted that according to the fair use practices stipulated by the USPTO and mandated by the US Congress, the Presidential Seal cannot be used “[F]or the purpose of conveying, or in a manner reasonably calculated to convey, a false impression of sponsorship or approval by the Government of the United States…”
While this stipulation does apply to commercial usage of the President’s Seal, an official Presidential Library would certainly be granted exemption by the United States Congress, as is customary with all Presidential Libraries, thus further adding to the speculation that the Donald J Trump Presidential Library, is in fact, a book store, and not a Library.
Additional requests for information submitted to The Trump Organization were referred to White House Counsel. White House Counsel referred all requests to The Trump Organization.
