This Election Day: Don’t Vote, Stay Home and Pray

GlossyNews.comMy fellow Christians, there is only one immutable truth on this election day. It’s that God’s will reigns supreme and there’s nothing we can do to change it. So don’t get in your car and drive. No, get down on your knees and pray.

This theme has been on the internet for some years, and I have it on good authority that it was created by a man of faith, and that he did it in the run-up to the 2010 elections, which as you’ll recall, were very positive for the conservative movement.

The Lord works in mysterious ways indeed.

Forget about “Legitimate Rape, we’re talking about the future of our country, and indeed, even our world. Do you really want to leave this to chance?

Which is more powerful, one vote or prayer? I think we both know the answer.

Mitt Romney’s supporters called for a day of fasting and prayer in advance of the first debate, and he won it resoundingly. No such day of prayer was requested for the next two debates, and he came out the loser, looking like a complete and total boobknob.

We can’t leave it to chance again. Voting doesn’t matter. One vote has never swayed a national election. Not even a Senate election… but prayer works, and you know that.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “pray without ceasing.”

That doesn’t say “go vote, and oh by the way, also pray,” it says to pray without ceasing. Heed your Lord.

James 1:6 – “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”

That doesn’t say that you can doubt this process. You know your Lord your God and you know better than to doubt his all-knowing, ever-present, omniscience. Don’t vote, pray.

Psalm 118:25 – “Save us, we pray, O LORD! O LORD, we pray, give us success!”

And if you just join together with me, brothers and sisters, we will have success. We just have to believe really, really hard.

And whether you believe in this or not, I beg you share this with your fellow friends and family who vote by faith. God doesn’t require a photo ID to pray, and he doesn’t make you stand in line to do it.

Today God’s will be done, but not without you. Don’t vote, stay home and pray with me. Together we can usher in a new world that’s better for our children and their children, but not our children’s children, because they’re much too young to be reproducing, even if it is by God’s will from a rape.

As surely as scripture speaks the gnostic truth, this poorly Photoshopped billboard likewise speaks a truth as sound and factually correct as the gospels themselves.
