Orlando, FL- The script read almost exactly the same… minus the “rapists.” The expired, irrelevant chants of “Lock her up,” rang out from the frenzied mob, blissfully unconcerned by the absolute silliness of the scene. They had waited for days in line to get a good seat, sweat saturated their MAGA hats. They carried illegible signs, and blathered incoherently, contradicting themselves every time they the opened their mouths. They are the MAGAT’s (Make America Great Again Trumpeteers) and each one had come for their own reasons… some were racists, others hated women, or gays… some just hated the “establishment…” yet they all had gathered to get jacked up on blood, and fear, and hate… and to see their man in the flesh… President Donald Trump, as he formally announced his re-election campaign.
The only problem is… Trump officially filed his reelection campaign with the FEC on January 20, 2017, the day of his inauguration, and has been campaigning non-stop, ever since. When asked by members of the press, whether or not it was misleading to characterize his rally as the beginning of his reelection campaign, the President had this to say. “No it is not misleading. I never filed with the SEC in 2017. This is fake news, made up by the mainstream media to make Trump look bad. Shame on you for questioning a patriot like Trump.”
The president further reiterated this point on Shitter:
“Members of the press claim I filed for reelection in January of 2017. This is not true. On January 20, 2017 I was too busy being inaugurated in front of the largest crowd ever gathered in the history of human beings. Look it up. It’s a fact. More people gathered in Washington to cheer on Trump then ever before… Period. The true liars are the media, they are the enemy of the state, and I am the state in which they are the enemy of.” #MAGA #GAGA #FAGA #MAGAT #FakeNews
While the evidence of the President’s initial filing is indisputable, January 20, 2017, what is debatable is whether or not his Inauguration was the first rally of his reelection campaign, or the last rally of his 2016 campaign.
