A Dad’s Rage Causes $150 Worth of Damage

A family home was turned into a war zone when a dad turned bad in the small hours of yesterday morning.

Mr Elliot, needing a midnight snack, entered his kitchen in his average suburban home to fix himself a sandwich only to be confronted with and empty jar of mayonnaise.

Mr Elliot, according to eyewitness Lucy Elliot, 6, began breathing very loudly and was heard muttering “why put the empty jar back in the fridge”. It was when he hit his head on the cupboard door that Mr Elliot began swearing loudly and violently started to back away from the fridge with the empty jar still in his hand.

At this point that the rest of the Elliot family came into the kitchen. To make matters worse Mr Elliot backed up into the kitchen table and spilt the milk he had poured to enjoy with his sandwich causing him to shake violently and to turn on an innocent, by standing, chair. Mrs Elliot, having seen the warning signs, gathered the children and ran from the house in fear shouting “He’s gonna blow”.

The police and the army where alerted and on the scene within 20 minutes but by then Mr Elliot had already destroyed the Elliot’s entire contents of the kitchen cupboards and both his and the neighbours garden gnomes. After Mr Elliot was contained the damage was assessed and is currently estimated at $150.

The unprecedented lack of foresight from Mrs Elliot will spark a large independent inquiry. Ms Tate from the Dad Rage Prevention Unit said “This is why we have the Unit. This is why we have asked for extra funding. More work needs to be done in educating wives and partners about the importance of trying prevent these types of incidents”.

  1. It’s funny because it’s sad… My dad had a short temper, but he never broke anything I know of.
