White Nationalists Due to Be Triggered by Lack of White Britons in Ancient UK
Oh dear. It just so turns out the Ethnonationalists are basing their ideas on pseudo-science. Britons from 10 000 years ago weren’t ‘white.’
Oh, what a pity. Hope they don’t end up committing a mass suicide like the People’s Temple, when they discover they were wrong!
Ah well. Better not mock the (intellectually) afflicted, as they say! Wite/nats B TRIGGERED!
Brexit Officially Worse than the Iraq War (In One Way or Another)
Journalist Neil Clark, currently fighting a legal battle against Oliver Kamm, has come out swinging against an apparently extravagant comment by Matthew Parris. In an article by Jack Montgomery, Paris is quoted as saying:
[Anthony] Eden lied about Suez and his government concealed its purpose; but he believed in that purpose and believed it to be in the national interest. Blair dissimulated about Iraq and his government used dark arts to clear its path. But he believed in the adventure and believed it to be in the national interest.
Brexit is worse. The means are the same as with Suez and Iraq but half the cabinet and most of the parliamentary party don’t even believe in the ends.
But what does Clark say?
Even the worst case scenarios don’t predict that the UK leaving the European Union will lead to the deaths of 1m people. Or to car bombs going off on a daily basis. Or the establishment of a terrorist organisation that specialises in beheading people. The Brexit negotiations, for heaven’s sake, are in the main, trade negotiations. No one is going to get blown up because of them.
Paris’s blunder is embarrassing, in a country where Tony Blair is still Public Enemy #1, and ‘The Most Hated Man in Britain.’
That said, some are disputing what Parris actually meant. Neil Clark, however, has held firm. See the Twitter thread here:
Brexit is worse than the Iraq War says Matthew Parris. 1m dead Iraqis are of no account it seems. You don’t have to be a supporter of Brexit to acknowledge that the comparison is disgusting.

No Country for Old Hypocrites
This is not that recent, but funny.
The USA and China have ended up in a (mutually) hypocritical war of accusation and counter-accusation over human rights.
The US is notorious for prison abuse at Guantánamo prison, its gun violence is rampant, racism is its deep-rooted malaise…
The United States conducts large-scale extra-territorial eavesdropping, uses drones to attack other countries’ innocent civilians, its troops on foreign soil commit rape and murder of local people. It conducts kidnapping overseas and uses black prisons.
There seems to be an endless cycle of Washington hypocrisy (still in many respects a Democracy with a First and Second Amendment, although you can debate about how well these are working right now), vs the hypocrisy of various explicitly authoritarian and even deeply totalitarian countries.
Neocons and Blue Neocons haven’t a leg to stand on when it comes to some things; but then again, nor do other countries.
Do you think the endless cycle of mutual whataboutery will end soon?
