Former Prime Minister and most hated man in Britain Tony Blair has recently dropped a devastating bombshell that is sure to restore his flagging reputation beyond all measure.
The Tory intervention in Libya has been an utter disaster, with the country overrun with jihadi choppers, while figures such as Khalifa Haftar try desperately to restore order.
But not many know about how Tony Blair was actually very far from being the villain of the piece.
In an exclusive $950-entry talk at the University of Comprehensive Intelligence Studies, Detroit, Blair said the following words:
I simply have no idea why David Cameron made this reckless, ill-judged intervention in Libya.
I’ve always been a big believer in the opinion that in international relations, prudence is the first of virtues. You must never bite off more than you can chew.
But sadly, David Cameron was hellbent on war, and just wouldn’t listen to anyone. I guarantee you, if half the country had gone down to Hyde Park, or somewhere of that ilk, y’know, for a monster demonstration, he would just have smirked and smugged his shoulders.
I mean, it’s like this, David Cameron obviously wouldn’t listen to anyone else’s opinions, and I mean, that’s really not acceptable; I mean, y’know, if you want to put it that way, from a particular point of view, I suppose!
David Cameron has refused to comment.
Still, it looks like unlike Mr Cameron, Blair is still bringing home the bacon; no matter what his haters say!
