U.S. Congressman defends citizen right to all weapons

U.S. Congressman Ted Yoho (Republican – Florida) has come out in favor of American citizens owning the same weapons as the U.S. military. “On guns, [my constituents] were saying that the sentiment, when you read the Second Amendment, is that the militia had the same equipment as the military to protect them against the tyrannical government,” said Yoho. “I think it’s more important today than ever, that we uphold our second amendment.”

This reporter also checked with Wayne LePire, Executive Vice President of the National Rifle Association, for guidance on the NRA position. “Our policy is to oppose all limits,” replied LePire. “If you can’t trust the person next door to own advanced weapons, who can you trust? OK, sometimes you can’t, but then you just blow that person off the face of the earth. You certainly don’t want the military and law enforcement doing it for you – or against you, either for that matter. The Second Amendment to the Constitution doesn’t set any limits.”

If Yoho and LePire’s interpretation of the law is correct, a whole new market in arms trade may be opening up. At this point, the U.S. military may be reluctant to provide certain types of arms to the general public, but this reporter was able to find alternate sources, which I am including in this report, as a public service. These advertisements are taken from various sources. Who knows? Perhaps they will soon be at a gun show near you!

  1. Please read my bit about the NRA wanting it to be legal for individuals to own their own atom bomb.
    Then tell others about it.

    Yes, I know. I’m shameless.

  2. Well sure. The founding fathers didn't intend the first amendment be restricted to a quill pen, did they? So naturally it must follow that any armament, no matter how massive, should be commercially available to all citizens without any regulation, oversight, or even a second thought. Also, Occupy should actually be free to assemble.
