Gays Arguably Wrong, Polygamy/Sex Slavery Right (comic)

If we’re going to attempt to pass legislation based on the Old Testament, why stop at homosexuality. There’s a lot of really interesting stuff in the Old Testament, let’s cling to some of those too.

Sure, the rail against homosexuality continued in the New Testament, but it was only through Paul in Corinthians. That’s one apostle out of twelve. Jesus said nothing on the subject, ten other apostles were likewise silent, and Judas… well, we’re not really supposed to know what he said.

Jesus forgave all sins in the New Testament, so why not homosexuality?

Seriously guys, you’ve already lost the battle. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you can get back to proselytizing and legislating. As long as you cling to this archaic anecdote, you’ll self-marginalize your people.

  1. Paul wasn’t a contemporary to Christ??? Seriously??? That’s a game changer to me.

  2. The funny thing is, Paul wasn’t actually an apostle proper of Jesus. He never met the man. Unless you consider a vision (read hallucination) of the saviour as credible.

I think that even if the bible said nothing explicitly about homosexuality these folks would adapt and use some “appropriate” verse to justify their hate regardless. Sad.
