Like Angela Merkel, David Cameron famously announced in 2011 that multiculturalism had failed.
But a recently leaked transcript to a confidential meeting of Cayman bankers and well-heeled Eton toffs shows that he has also failed in his efforts to create a worldwide MONOCULTURE of NATO hegemony.
Admittedly, he put it rather more delicately like that, but (achingly-non-)arguably no less extravagantly:
Now hearken unto me when I quoth this, dearest sillybums! Why, I do so very much envision it’s time we made more of an effort to reach out to and assimilate the international community.
In our world society of today, many marginalised individuals like George Bush or John Kerry are ridiculed, and their views are taken to be peculiar, alien and foreign to mainstream understanding.
Instead, the ‘mainstream’ views of the majority population are taken as some abstract, normative common sense standard.
Unproblematised views and prejudices like ‘pinko pacificism’ make the international community feel unrecognised and misrecognised. Many of them fear they are all alone in a hostile global society, lacking any meaningful protection or security.
In my view, we should (in the least condescending and patronising manner possible!) reach out to the international community, and try to integrate them into the broader society in which they live.
Let us hear what they have to say; let us ignore their opinions, in the least tokenistic manner possible; and let us tell them:
You are either with us or against us!
It seems, however, the brightest Wall Street fraud gurus of the world are very much WITH him…
