Weakest Lincoln: Thinkin’ or Not, Napolitano Craps Out


Fox News contributor Judge Andrew Napolitano appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart this week to strut his contrarian cred and ruffle some feathers. Problem is, he was just… plain… wrong.

Plantation History is Black & White (comic)


I took a plantation tour, and my co-worker gave me hell about it. Never mind that it was a plantation owned by a free man of color, that it was hundreds of years ago, and that my white ancestors weren’t even in the country at the time… still history, honey.

So if you get a chance, take a plantation tour. It doesn’t matter if it was owned by a white man or a free man of color, it’s still an important part of our history, and knowing it is the key to not repeating it. Read the full story

Gays Arguably Wrong, Polygamy/Sex Slavery Right (comic)


If we’re going to attempt to pass legislation based on the Old Testament, why stop at homosexuality. There’s a lot of really interesting stuff in the Old Testament, let’s cling to some of those too.

Sure, the rail against homosexuality continued in the New Testament, but it was only through Paul in Corinthians. That’s one apostle out of twelve. Jesus said nothing on the subject, ten other apostles were likewise silent, and Judas… well, we’re not really supposed to know what he said. Read the full story

Conservatives Furious Over Historical Implications Of Mississippi Error


Due to an error in not filing documents stating Mississippi’s ratification of the 13th amendment ending slavery, historical references will now show that slavery ended under President Obama’s second term. Speaker of the House John Boenher stated, “How many lucky f#&%ing breaks can that guy get!”

Thurmond Tried to Swap MLK Day for Stonewall Jackson Day


Legendary confederate statesman Strom Thurmond one time tried to trade away a holiday to celebrate the life of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in exchange for a national day honoring Confederate General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, who was born on January 21, 1824.

Thurmond’s behind the scenes efforts late in his life were revealed this morning in personal papers only recently released to the public. Read the full story
