I met a guy called Chris about a decade ago, at university; and he was very interested in some new projects of his.One thing he talked about a while back was having non-theists doing good in the local area as well; people often associate help for homeless people (for example) with churches and other faith groups.
Important to be aware there are secular humanists, atheists, agnostics etc. also doing valuable work.
Those who want to donate, invest or volunteer can benefit from recognising the wide range of organisations involved in such matters.
Do you know of any interesting and lesser-known charities helping homeless people?
