WONKI-LEAKS #264 Our team of ever intrepid hackers have recently managed to intercept the following instructions being given to new FOX interns via e-mail as they help the massive television and radio giant prepare the scripted material for their pundits and ‘reporters’:
The basic maxim to the type of journalism that FOX News specializes in is- ‘You can dig up dirt on anyone.’ This should be memorized and utilized every day in your investigations.
Another basic maxim, one that is really the core of the FOX philosophy, is ‘Right good, left bad.’ This also can be phrased as such ‘Republicans good, Democrats bad.’ Follow this principle and you will go far at FOX.
With any matters to do with Obama, follow these guidelines:
– Do not refer to him as President Obama. This is a condition we are working hard to change.
– Anything that Obama does can be made to look bad. ANYTHING!
– If he creates jobs, we can make it look like the jobs are either dangerous or a burden to taxpayers.
– If he eliminates jobs, we can say he is hurting the American worker.
– If he stops a war, we can say it is too early and will allow terrorists to thrive.
– If he starts a war, we can say it will cost the tax payers too much.
– We can counter move to pretty much any action he takes. Much like dancing the tango.
One last maxim for today, and then you can go back to the grind of dredging up and dressing up all the facts that we at the top are too busy with counting our money and admiring ourselves in the mirror to take care of.
The last maxim is this and it is a most important one: Any news event, any political event, any social or political ‘truth’ can be reinvented, reinterpreted and re-imagined and thereby slanted to our benefit if one works at it. We have thus far managed to get a decorated war hero (Kerry) drug through the mud, convinced millions of working class people that the rich deserve to have tax cuts, that the nation can continue to survive without more taxes and that we are right no matter what we say or do.
These are quite the accomplishments. However we don’t need to stop there! Our next goal is to convince the American working class that it is patriotic to work without getting paid for it. We’ve already convinced the nation that it is OK to give the people’s money to save big businesses and that it is OK to take away their homes that they have worked years to buy. It might not be that difficult.
