Mitt Ryan Picks Paul Romney for VP; and a Political Bromance Blossoms

In one of the most romantic scenes since Gosling kissed McAdams in the rain, former governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts offered Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin his hand in political matrimony.

Not only did Governor Romney offer Ryan a place at his side, he solidified his commitment by offering his name too. Congressman Ryan was so overwhelmed by the gesture, that he immediately did the same.

Pundits and politicians on both sides of the Party aisle are calling this a match made in Washingtonian heaven.

“I must admit I’ve had my eye on Ryan for quite some time,” revealed Romney. “What started as a spark of shared ideals has grown into a flame of Republican sameness–and we thought sharing our names was the best way to communicate that to the world.”

The governor went on to extoll the praises of the young congressman known for his fiscally conservative policies.

“Ryan and I have so much in common,” Romney added. “We’re both Republican, we’re white, we’re Republican, we’re good with large quantities of money, and (last but not least) we’re not Democrats.”

If elected, at least half of the nation will surely look forward to all the little policy babies they will make over the next four years.

  1. I haven’t seen a gaze like that since witnessing then-VP nominated John Edwards NOT look at his wife while on stage with John Kerry at the Democratic National Committee.

  2. As soon as i saw how Romney was looking at Ryan with those googly eyes of a love smitten boy in love with his first girl on 60 Minutes, I almost puked but laughed very hard instead!!
