Wild Animals of America Party accuses Republicans of thinking too much


Dateline: WASHINGTON—The Wild Animals of America Party began as an offshoot of the GOP, railing against big government for interfering with the divinely ordained inequalities in nature.

Hardline Atheists Condemn Sleep and Sex as Irrational


Dateline: SPRINGFIELD, MI—Speaking jointly at a press conference after coming to a unanimous decision at this year’s Skepticon, held at Missouri State University, representatives of the New Atheist movement condemned sleep and sex for being irrational.

“Religious faith is clearly unreasonable,” said author Sam Harris, “but so are your unconscious dreams and so is your sex life. If we’re going to survive the coming technological advances, we’ve got to smarten up and cut all ties to our primitive ancestry. We’ve got to become posthuman.” Read the full story

Atheists Offer Their Own Sunday Service (comic)


The Christians seem to feel they have an exclusive on morality, though the stats don’t bear it out. Why don’t the atheists hold their own Sunday service to preach whatever it is they do or do not believe in… well, maybe that can happen.

When it comes to questions of immortality, it seems the non-theists hold the advantage. Christians believe in a a life eternal, but fight like hell to avoid going there, no matter how pious their lives may have been.

So why not live it up a bit for the here and now. Why not make a community around reason, rather than Bedouin folklore and total superstition? Read the full story

Pentagon Study Finds Atheist in Foxhole


Deputy Secretary of Defense Scott Turlock spoke from the Pentagon this week to announce news that portends even more paradigm challenges for the United States military forces.

“Well we don’t know how he got there either. Our plate’s pretty full right now just trying to make the new gay policy happen. We’ve asked Congress for money to buy bigger plates, but that’s stuck in conference right now, so we messed up. I know it’s an honored tradition in the military since World War Two, there are no ‘atheists in foxholes’ but turns out there is one.” Read the full story
