A modern, luxurious jet liner leaving Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing, disappears without a trace, without sight, without sound, without memory, into the vast, nebulous ether.
Filled with expectant travelers anticipating joyous reunions with loved ones, business people eager to make the deal, and others who desire nothing more than a fresh start in another, more promising land.
But what else is on board? Is there a monster hiding under the seats? In the cockpit? In the depraved minds of humanity?
A Captain disillusioned by the corrupt incarceration of a political hero. A Co-pilot desperately seeking, but not receiving, the validation of young women. A passenger, recently jilted by a long time companion for the wiles of a more exciting lover. A businessman who has lost everything in desperate gambles to remain solvent.
What do they have to live for? What are they willing to do? Who else must sacrifice at the altar of their shortcomings?
