N.B.A. Furious Over Sterling’s Comments

Los Angeles, California – Three days after a recording emerged of Clippers Owner, Donald Sterling making racist comments set off a fury of angry reactions from past and current NBA players, an extended recording has been released involving a new victim, the breadstick.

The original recording was of Sterling talking to his girlfriend, professional model, V. Stiviano, regarding an Instagram photo she took with former NBA star, Magic Johnson.

The act was highly unfavorable to Sterling and the recording portrayed his disapproval through numerous racist comments.

The extended version reveals Sterling saying “I don’t want you bringing him [Johnson] to games, I don’t want you taking pictures with him and I absolutely don’t want you sharing my breadsticks with him!”

“We are appalled by these remarks,” said Lindsay Bahkedfriesh, President of the National Breadstick Association (N.B.A.).

“Breadsticks represent everything this great nation bakes for. They are meant to be shared by everyone, no matter their race or the color of their dough. Breadsticks come in a variety of forms and Donald Sterling’s comments are an insult to our community,” added Bahkedfriesh, while angrily throwing stick-shaped darts at a picture of Sterling’s face on her bulletin board.

As the National Basketball Association decides the appropriate sanctions to impose on its longest-tenured owner, the National Breadstick Association is taking matters into its own basket by writing a petition in breadstick lettering to President Obama and boycotting future Clippers games. However, many believe the first initiative will be more effective as no one has attended a Clippers game since 1991.

“It’s a relief to know that something is being done,” said an infuriated Magic Johnson, who was once given the nickname “Bread Man” by Michael Jordan following a trip to the Olive Garden in 1994. “The man always knows where the basket is,” a playful Jordan stated after the visit.

Anyone interested in adding their name to the breadtition against Donald Sterling should visit www.basketsforhumanity.org before Friday, May 2nd.
