This morning the federal government issued warnings to parents over toys that are currently being sold for the holiday season which may pose a potential harm to their families.
The revised Furby animated toy has been identified in several dangerous incidents involving both children and adults in recent weeks.
A revision to a toy that had been easily incorporated into the family several years ago, the newest version has evolved into a creature that no longer is bound to just blinking at you and uttering synthesized syllables.
Right: Furby, a toy or a conspiracy launched by a global empire we know nothing about! Click to Enlarge.
The version of today has more interaction and awareness of it’s surroundings. It is now linked to an iPhone application that provides more than the described translation of it’s curious language. It is fully monitoring you and is aware of where you are, what you are doing, and who you are doing it with.
When those bright eyes look at you the feeling of every hair on the back of your neck standing upright is appropriate.
There have been numerous reports of the alleged “toy” biting unsuspecting children who attempted to “feed” the creature as they were directed. And those are just the minor incidents that have been reported to federal agencies.
In Houston Texas there was an incident in which a woman was wounded by gun fire after her husband became alarmed by the sudden and aggressive movements of the Furby that they had purchased for their young grandchild.
According to reports, Rachel Bush was rushed to Saint Peter Medical And Pregnancy Fulfillment Center on Saturday with a gun shot wound to her posterior.
Doctor Pita, her attending physician stated, “We have a tremendous amount of hope that she will fully recover and not become just another Bush backside that is discussed in the national press.”
While this may or may not be an extreme example for parents to consider before purchasing this particular toy, we do hope that you will at least consider the repercussions of what may happen to your family should you choose to adopt this uncontrollable evil toy.
I bought my kids a trampoline for Christmas. What I'm saying is there's no such thing as a toy too aggressive or dangerous.
