New Orleans, LA (GlossyNews) -– Oil executives returned back to their home-away-from-home in Louisiana after a grueling week in front of a Senate investigative panel to answer tough questions about the ongoing oil spill problem in the Gulf of Mexico. They decided to unwind at a favorite local dining establishment, the Bayou Bourgeois Bistro that evening.
The Bayou Bourgeois Bistro, situated on the water in the small town of Thibodaux, Louisiana, is a favorite among locals and tourists alike for its ability to serve up some of the best authentic Cajun cooking in Louisiana. The oil executives seemed to be in a festive mood as they were seated in the best spot in the restaurant with a clear view of the waterfront.
The waiters in charge of the table were kept busy bringing drink order after drink order to the table, as the men offered up their tales of being raked over the coals by those “jerkwad puppy kickers” in Washington. Finally, menus were ordered and the men began choosing their appetizers.
All was proceeding well until one gentleman ordered the shrimp cocktail. “I’m sorry sir,” noted the waiter, “but we are out of shrimp this evening.” The man nodded and asked for the oysters Rockefeller instead, but the waiter again told him that the restaurant was also out of oysters. “Then bring me the goddamned crawfish boulettes,” bellowed the exec, to which, again, he was politely told there were no crawfish, hence no boulettes.
At that point, the red-faced, bloated oil executive blew a gasket. “You mean to tell me that I’m sitting here in the heart of the Cajun fu*king seafood capital of the world and I can’t even get fu*king seafood? What kind of fu*king seafood restaurant is this?” he shouted as he was dragged by restaurant personnel, kicking and screaming, and tossed from the establishment.
His fellow executive diners were aghast at the spectacle. Said one, “I am just as shocked as the rest of you. Imagine a seafood restaurant in Louisiana that doesn’t serve seafood. Incredible.”
