Having bad experiences with love (or at least towards the end of love) can lead to a certain ‘defensive’ tendency. Whether your love ended through your own shortcomings, or through the failings of another, there is no need to put up this ‘wall.’
The point is not to be for or against it.
The point is to be open and receptive.
Not too open, yes I know.
Just to be dispassionate.
Not emotionless.
Not cold.
Not callous or indifferent.
Just dispassionate.
That’s all.
Once one realizes one has nothing to prove, either to oneself or to others, one can begin to unfold one’s petals, and embrace the sunlight with a healing joy.
