Sometimes Google won't run an ad, either because they article is too new, because there are no ads to display, or (most commonly) because there are certain keywords within the article that make it too racey or controversial for them to be affiliated with. That's where you come in. The racey and controversial articles are the ones that see the most traffic by far and away.
Currently Glossy News is showing around 200,000 pages per month with an available 300x250 box in which Google, for one reason or another, does not display an ad. You can purchase this space for $50 per month. Based on 200,000 impressions, that's a CPM of only $0.25, which is well below industry stardard.
