Nirav MehtaA NBC spokeswoman announced yesterday that a sitcom starring Harvey Pitt, will head up its Fall 2002 line-up. The storyline will star the former SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) chairman wrestling with unemployment after resigning his post at the SEC, a faltering love life, all the while rooming with his rebellious, gay, and Lebanese teenage son Rosco and Fumio Takahara, a pot-smoking, chain-saw wielding ex-sumo wrestler.
Russ Williams, head of the pilots department at NBC, had the following statement, "We were stumped for good new sitcom ideas for this fall's line-up, and were on the verge of deciding not to produce any new shows, since it would be plainly disrepectful to just allow any tripe onto the much-acclaimed NBC Fall Line-up. In fact, some people were suggesting we run Seinfeld re-runs at prime time for a year. But after seeing the comedic potential of Harve(y) (Pitt), it was obvious that he was our man - and apparently Peter Sellers died several years ago. Whether Harve(y) (Pitt) was promoting people to the SEC accounting advisory board who had themselves headed accounting firms currently under investigation for fraudulent practices, or calling an SEC investigation into the activities of the SEC and its chairman, the guy's a natural laugh-getter. We called him right after hearing about his calling the SEC investigation on himself, and he said he wouldn't mind blowing the SEC job for a secure one in show business. He's filming as we speak."
Harvey Pitt had a comment, but unfortunately fell down the superfluous staircase planted in the middle of the room, and while simultaneously having his genitals bitten by a macaw.
