Work Force to Labor Past Death

Nearly 70% of US workers over the age of 45 say they'll need to keep working past age 65. Some feel they will need to keep working much longer, perhaps even after they're long dead and well past that into forever.

Scientists believe there is not much evidence that people can continue to work after their dead. Many can continue to earn income after they're dead though not from actually working. Examples include Elvis, John Lennon, Ghandi and other famous "deadies".

Becoming a dead celebrity may not be for you. There are other ways to avoid having to work past age 65. The advice of financial experts is for people to try to maximize their celebrity potential (while they are alive). In doing so, they can pretty much guarantee a steady income for years to come.

One way of doing this is for people to try and get themselves a top ten sitcom or hour long drama. Experts point out that for those who do this, they can expect to receive residuals for years to come (e.g., Seinfeld's "George" makes good money plugging Kentucky Fried Chicken). They suggest trying to land a deal with Fox-TV first, then UPN, or, if those don't work, try the Comedy Channel, HBO or just maybe even PAX. All seem to accept almost any idea for a show regardless of quality, merit, appeal or health risks.

Another way to achieve financial freedom for your retirement is to write a best selling fiction or non-fiction book, befriend Oprah, and then get your own successful TV show. Or, write really popular songs that get recorded by famous singers. When this happens the money will just roll in directly to you, even though you may or may not be alive.

One outside avenue on which little research has been done, but experts agree would produce a great amount of retirement income, is to invent a much needed drug. You then patent the drug and get a pharmaceutical company to pay you millions to produce it. In order to insure that they don't just steal it from you, consider manufacturing it from a part of your own body. In this way, you will remain valuable after death, until all remaining supplies of you are depleted.
