Others were unimpressed with the Latin:
If you say “Mea culpa” it waters down the effect. It’s Latin. It’s “other” to most of us. It has less immediacy and meaning, as it’s effect mediated by translation. Why not say it in English: “I was wrong. I am sorry”.

I think he meant the Anglo-Irish agreement which Corbyn spoke against. It’s an error and he’s admitted it. Channel 4 also have said it was incorrect.
