Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) Takes Broom Ride During Congressional Photo-Op

Washington, DC – (SatireWorld.com) – Rep. Rosa DeLauro(D-CT), wore her ‘Black Sabbath Best’ to the Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi sponsored photo opportunity with the Democratic women of the House to highlight the historic diversity of the House Democratic Caucus in the 113th Congress and celebrate the increased number of women joining the Democratic Caucus on January 3, 2013.

DeLauro, who once claimed a farmhouse landed on her twin sister during a tornado, gladly gave a few demo flights on her hand crafted hickory New England-style broom which amused several onlookers and staff photographers.

PHOTO INSERT: DeLaruo moments before circling the Capitol Dome. In answering critics Debbie Wasserman-Schultz claims she never rode a broom but did own up to several rides on an old vacuum cleaner that vibrated alot.

Cameras caught her circling around the Capitol Dome until a passing shower forced her to land.

Rep. DeLauro has served four terms as a liberal Democrat from the 3rd Congressional district in Connecticut and has sponsored legislation on issues deemed important by women progressives she represents.

In 2003, DeLauro made the national headlines when she posed for a charity event at the Haunted Mansion attraction in Walt Disney World. The event turned tragic when several children seeing her arrive by broom became so scared they ran and fell into a drainage canal and were eaten by alligators.

  1. This Jan. 2013 “fashion photo” on the Capitol steps suggests narcissistic personality disorder with elements of avoidant subtype. Such a diagnosis would explain DeLauro’s delusional thinking that “abstract caring” allows her an elite seclusion and detachment behind her massive wealth. As long as she calls for “pay-your-fair-share” tax hikes, or for more deficit spending, or fake “green jobs”, or middle class tax hikes—disguised as federalized healthcare—or a temporary, taxpayer-funded “jobs bill”, or a need to fix an imaginary “gender wage inequity”, or to stop nonexistent “Big Oil subsidies”—thus oddly implying that we should pay more for gasoline & heating oil—then she can feel absolved from guilt over her isolated privilege and can enjoy it without lamentation. And if one has massive enough wealth not to worry about a few more taxes or fees, then a mind at peace is a pretty good deal. DeLauro's pathetic repetition of the same talking points for over 22 years is an elite person’s psychological investment in enjoying guilt-free affluence, allowing her to disengage from both the private sector—where one either makes a profit or goes broke—as well as the grimy processes by which we live one more day. Thus DeLauro's “elite liberalism” has become her psychological condition—not a serious blueprint on how to solve real problems in Connecticut and in our nation.
