Tea Party Slams “Elitist” D.C. Table Manners

Twin Dorks, NV (GlossyNews) — On the campaign trail with norbert b. snortwhistle. In a blistering attack on the “political elitism that is destroying America” Nevada Senate candidate and Tea Party favorite Sharron Angle slammed the “fancy table manners in Washington” as she ramped up her campaign against incumbent Democrat Harry Reid.

“Look at who’s running our country,” Angle told a cheering Tea Party crowd, many of whom were eating canned spaghetti with their fingers. “Those uppity politicians in Washington use one fork for their salad, another one for their meat, and then another one for dessert.”

“I eat sandwiches,” Reid countered in an interview. “You don’t need a fork for a sandwich.”

In Washington, the White House rushed to align President Obama with mainstream voters.

“Like many Americans, the President sometimes eats using utensils such as a fork,” said Press Secretary Robert Gibbs. “But not always. Just the other night, I’m told the President ate a slice of pizza straight from the box, using only his hands.”

But GOP candidate Angle kept up the pressure, sensing an issue that might resonate strongly with disillusioned Tea Party members.

“I eat everything with my hands,” she shouted to supporters. “I’m just like you!”
