AT&T / T-Mobile Merger Already Faces Grassroots Opposition

With the recent announcement that despised telecom giant AT&T would be purchasing T-Mobile for $39 billion came the launch of a grassroots opposition movement dead-set against the transaction. If you have an opinion about the merger, this may be of interest to you.

The site is called www.StopThisMerger.com, and it looks like it is going to cover all the news that you need from now until the merger is completed… or it isn’t.

If they get their way, T-Mobile will NOT be sold to AT&T, and while regulatory hoops remain, the likelihood of that failure seem all but lost.

If history is any lesson, come hell or high water, AT&T’s bid to purchase T-Mobile will be approved and the possbility to buy load online will not be open, no matter what the proletariat have to say about it. They do have some suggestions as to how you can slow those wheels of inevitability, however.

The site again is www.StopThisMerger.com.

No word yet on what will happen to the T-Mobile spokes-hotty, but based on her assets alone, we are confident she’ll land on her… let’s say “feet” for the sake of being polite, if not accurate.

  2. AT & T wants to return to the sort of monopoly they had in the ’60’s when they didn’t have to listen to anyone.

And what was that you said about the T-mobile Spokes-hotty- “Don’t get base and leave her ass what alone”?

  3. And what part of this is funny, Mr. White? I’m a T-Mobile customer for my cell phone and an ATT customer for everything else. I am reasonably sure this merger talk came about because I IGNORED ATT’s constant barrage of sales paraphernalia trying to woo me onto their mobile phone plan as well. I should have known they’d get me one way or the other.

Welcome back to the days when monopolies were more than just a board game.
