Cutler Under Fire: Post Game Tweet about Aaron Rodgers over the line?

Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears is under fire again, but this time for more than just his turnovers. After losing to Green Bay Sunday night the embattled QB tweeted, “Aaron hasn’t spanked anyone that hard since his gay roommate moved out.”

He was responding to the rumors that Packer sensation Aaron Rodgers formerly lived with and had a relationship with a male personal assistant, Kevin Laflisi.

Laflisi’s own twitter account is the root of such rumors, as he wasn’t shy about his love for #12, with whom he used to enjoy Justin Bieber concerts and the occasional pedicure.

Cutler’s tweet went viral and thousands of Packer fans unleashed angry responses to the Bear quarterback. Cutler’s next tweet was, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.” But the damage was already done, and both tweets were removed early this morning.

not that

Cutler’s spokesman refused comment to the press, except to say that Jay respects Rodgers both on and off the field, no matter his sexual orientation. Rodgers threw for a record tying six touchdowns in the game before being replaced by backup QB Matt Flynn midway through the third quarter.

To say there’s frustration in the Chicago Bear locker room after a 3-6 start to the season and a 55-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football is an understatement. Weeks ago, there was a post game verbal fight between star wide receiver Brandon Marshall and kicker Robbie Gould and the last place Bears are struggling to pick up the pieces to what was once a promising season.

The Chicago Bears have issued the following statement about the incident:

“We apologize to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers for any offense caused by the tweet. We also apologize for clogging their locker room toilets with soiled condoms. We also apologize to Lambeau janitors for all the urine stains on the seats. While we’re at it, we should also apologize for all the death threats and obscene gestures made during the game.”

Despite the controversy, Chicago is standing behind their quarterback. If anything, the latest controversy has team management supporting Cutler even more. There are rumors that his latest tweet may even result in a contract extension, despite only beating their division rival Packers once out of ten attempts. It seems, in Chicago at least, upsetting the Packers is the next best thing to beating them.

  1. GRRRRRR!!!!
Spit in my face, stamp on my toe, make ‘Yo Mama’ jokes about my mom, but DON’T MAKE FUN OF THE PACKERS, DAMMIT!!!!!!!
ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A $^^%$#@ BEARS FAN!!!!!
    This means war, Cutler!!!!!!!!!
I will give your Bear players addresses out to ISIS wannabees!!!!

  2. Has anyone ever seen my impression of John Madden? Not as funny as Jay Cutler’s performance, but still funny.

  3. Jay Cutler will say ANYTHING now, because he FAILED MISERABLY in his performance on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. One can see that there is some kind of TURMOIL amongst the players. There were a few of his passes that were SURE CATCHES but that didn't happen… it was like the passes were being MISSED on purpose. It is the team members, and not the coach either. It has something to do with Cutler and his team mates… and his comment about Rodgers just goes to show any football fan that Cutler is a very POOR LOSER and will stoop to any LOW to try and BLAME someone else for his performance.
