Let’s pretend for a second we’re all adults here, though plainly some of us might not be, you dummy doo-doo heads (and that’s how I put myself in their camp.)

You think the author doesn’t know satire? I’ll tell you she’s among our biggest draws historically. You think you’re somehow smarter than her? I call bullshit, and I beg you to prove me wrong. We take submissions you know, even from readers we’ve never known before. Submit your story. You think this, or another story (health care, taxation, gay rights) could use your spin on things? Don’t just piss and moan, post a submission. Let’s see how the readers love, hate, or simply gloss over your piece.

We really are friendly around here, I swear, especially to clever writers. We don’t just write from the left. Our writers span the spectrum, and we’ve got a staunch conservative on staff (surely you’ve noticed) who regularly posts his work, though he does so with less nonsensical anger, and more humorous insight.

I understand it perfectly. This part of your piece indicates you don’t, however:

They’d also know that his “We know he didn’t say it, but that’s the way he thinks” line is a play on the media and left’s attacks on him using phony quotes and then defending them on those grounds.
